Guitar Starter Course

Start your journey with confidence, from holding the guitar for the first time to performing on stage. This live, one-on-one beginner-friendly course takes students step-by-step through melodies, chords, music reading, theory, playing favorite songs. Along the way they develop strong performance skills and can even prepare for certification from leading music boards like Trinity College London or Rockschool.

Estimated time to complete this course: 8 months

What they'll learn:

• Understand basic music theory, note values and rhythm

• Play melodies and beginner chords

• Build proper posture and techniques from day 1

• Read sheet music and chord charts

• Compose your own 8 bars rhythms and chord progressions

• Play along with your favorite songs

• Learn to accompany strumming patterns with band

• Prepare for Grade Initial exams (Trinity/Rockschool)

What you’ll need:

• Laptop/iPad with Zoom and stable internet (Note: Android tablets and mobile phones are not supported)

• Guitar - acoustic or classical (child-size if under 10)

• Pick, digital tuner (or GuitarTuna app) and an optional Capo
